U.S. headquarters headed to Newnan – The Citizen.com

What was a distribution center for a manufacturing company in Newnan will soon become its U.S. headquarters
Blickle U.S.A., a manufacturer and distributor of wheels and casters, has announced plans to locate its U.S. headquarters in Coweta County, according to Coweta County Development Authority (CCDA) President Greg Wright.
Wright said the company will employ manufacturing, engineering, laboratory, operations, customer service, marketing and sales personnel at the new facility, which will be located in the Coweta Industrial Park in Newnan.
Phase 1, covering an area of 55,000 sq. ft., is estimated to be completed in November of 2017. The site has room for further expansion of the facility to an area of more than 200,000 sq. ft., in order to accommodate expected growth, Wright said.
“Blickle is recognized as the preeminent global caster and wheel manufacturer. We are delighted to have chosen Newnan and Coweta County as the headquarters of Blickle U.S.A. and highly appreciate the substantial support we received from Coweta County and the State of Georgia,” said Blickle U.S.A. President Scott Chahalis.
Blickle U.S.A. is currently leasing a distribution center in Newnan to store a wide range of wheels and casters. These include the newly developed American Standard casters which qualify for Blickle’s 24-hour QuickShipProgram.
Reinhold Blickle, President and CEO of Blickle, said, “We are glad to have chosen Newnan/Coweta County, Georgia, to locate our new Blickle U.S. headquarters for it offers many favorable aspects to us. The new building and all the investments we are making are part of our long-term strategy for the US market and will considerably increase our service level and capacity to serve our rapidly growing customer base.”
The Blickle Group currently employs over 800 staff worldwide. More than 550 employees are based at its headquarters in Germany, a single, highly automated and very modern manufacturing facility, extending over 800,000+ sq. ft. Blickle maintains 16 international sales subsidiaries in Europe, Asia, and North America, and numerous factory-trained distributors around the globe, exporting its wheels and casters reputed for their excellent quality to more than 120 countries.
Terry Daviston, chairman of the Coweta County Development Authority, said, “We are pleased to welcome Blickle to our community. The Blickle name is recognized around the world as an industry leader in wheels and casters, and we look forward to continuing to work with the company as they grow and prosper here in Coweta County,” said CCDA Chairman Terry Daviston.
”Blickle U.S.A.’s decision highlights the vitality of Georgia’s pro-business environment, collaborative statewide partnerships and well-equipped workforce,” said Tom Croteau, Deputy Commissioner of Global Commerce at the Georgia Department of Economic Development. “We look forward to supporting Blickle as they fill these newly created jobs with Georgia’s highly-skilled talent.”
